Watch out for stealth add ons! Not all features are included in any of the memberships levels and need to be purchased separately. I'd budgeted to the penny so when faced with another £164 charge for a feature I believed was already included and was essential to my site, I had to cancel. Customer support did nothing to address my concerns re the stealth nature of the charge and made no effort to retain me as a customer so they made the decision to cancel easy.

I send them questions many times and they don't read my questions. They just send links like a robot that are irrelevant to my issue.

Just don't do it.

Just an awful website builder. Least intuitive thing I've ever used.

Customer service is average at best.

Doing the most simplest things is near impossible unless you are a web developer and expert.

I just want a carousel to rotate FFS

Squarespace is a disappointment. I have multiple sites, but when they upgrade their software, it's full of issues that make it hard to edit sites and their technical support always blames it on "your browser" etc.

It's so frustrating and as a consumer, it makes you feel helpless.

I am giving one star purely because their customer service is absolutely non existent.

It took me half an hour of clicking buttons before i just headed over to Facebook to try and get them.

I wish I had read reviews before committing, I have now built my website which took a few days... but cannot even use properly because it is absolutely impossible to speak to a human being to get assistance

At the moment our company is preparing a legal action aimed at suing Squarespace directors and administrators for committing copyright infringement knowingly and at a business scale.

Squarespace is offering its platform to software pirates enabling them to host, distribute and process criminal proceedings for pirated software.

Multiple DMCA notices and cease and desist letters from a legitimate copyright owner have been served to Squarespace, however none of them have been answered and the issue with the rogue merchant has not been addressed.

I've had squarespace for YEARS and it's been nothing short of fantastic. Their customer service team are incredibly helpful, and I've never been left waiting to get something fixed.

My website ranks highly, its easy to customise and I love the layouts they offer.

Useless. Don’t waste your time or money. This is a truly appalling company. My site has never appeared in search results even after hiring an independent SEO agent. The customer service is truly atrocious. I kept being told to go into the depths of google settings I’ve never even heard of and fix issues which I have no idea what they are. Constant tech jargon. I’m not an IT technician hence why I’m using a host. If you’re not trained in tech then you’ll struggle to make sense of any of the things they tell you to do to. And they won’t do even the most basic thing for you despite their set up being the issue and despite them taking your money.

I am a professional website designer developer. I occasionally work with clients who use Squarespace and man... it is the most terrible website builder in the market today. No intuitive at all, clunky, and never does what you want. Couldn't NOT recommend it enough.

I followed the directions on Squarespace to cancel my account, but They kept billing my credit card. I tried to call, but to no avail; they do not have a customer service number. I canceled my account two more times, but they continued billing my card. Now I have had to report them for fraud and cancel my credit card. This website is a scam. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CC NUMBER.

I could not log into my account to change my credit card payment. So my Google workspace was suspended. I submitted form after form. This as my email was down for 6 hours while the market is open. Rather, any emails sent received a "address couldn't be found or is unable to receive emails." CUSTOMER CARE was of little help. It's been over 4 hours and I have yet to hear from anyone and literally all I need to do is give a new credit card number. No wonder everyone here seems to be super frustrated with the customer service. It's non-existent.

I have been using Square Space for around 3 years now. Let me tell you - it has to be the worst platform there is to build a website! The editing page that is provided to make changes to your website is just rubbish and cheap! It lags all the time, and I really mean - ALL THE TIME! Don't spend your money on this rubbish website builder. However, the WORST THING is that they have the worst customer support there is! - Basically, they don't have any form of customer support, leaving you alone and clueless when you're struggling to update your site when you really needed to. Please do yourself a favour and stay well away from this absolute con!!

I've experienced multiple bugs and issues with their scheduler over the past week. The three biggest issues:
-Their scheduling system decided to change my preferences so clients couldn't book a class within 15 hours of the start time. It was previously set at 0 hours
-I couldn't edit client information during a class. I could not note if they were a walk-in, needed credit, requested a voucher, etc.
-I couldnt delete a daily class to free up my schedule for that day. I followed all instructions exactly. And have performed this function before and after.

To be fair, all of these issues have been over the past week

Charge extraorbitant amount for the very basic website services with ugly builder that is so difficult you will need to hire a webdesigner anyway, if not your website will appear with 1000 errors and never make it to SEO.
Oh , and they charge for EVERYTHING additionally. E-mail, domain, new user, e-commerce- come on.
